Midnight on Jeweler's Row
It's been on my mind for a while to come here after dusk to get a few shots, because #neon. Jeweler's Row is home to the oldest diamond district in America. So there is actually deep history rooted in this little area. During the day, it is easy to pass by, overlooking it - however, at night...it comes to life!
Apple Picking at Linvilla

It's a little late in the apple picking season, but thats okay! Certain apple flavors are still in harvest, we just had to walk out a little further into the orchard to get to them. The weather was beautiful and the day was perfect! Finished off here with some shopping in the farmers market and some apple cider donuts!
Future of Sports - Pink Neon Room
Future of Sports is a pop-up art installation in DC. It's an interactive exhibition that combines art and sports. Located on H street, (only a few blocks from my childhood home!). Worth a visit or 2.
Terminal
Subodh Gupta's sculpture "Terminal" makes it well worth a trip to the newly re-opened Freer/Sackler galleries in DC.
"Internationally acclaimed artist Subodh Gupta transforms familiar household objects, such as stainless steel and brass vessels often found in India, into wondrous structures. The Freer|Sackler features the artist’s monumental installation Terminal. Composed of towers of brass containers connected by an intricate web of thread, Terminal converts the readymade into a glimmering landscape. Ranging from one to fifteen feet tall, the spires recall architectural features found on religious structures such as churches, temples, and mosques"
Vantage Point
Going up on the 6ABC Weather balloon to get some amazing aerial shots of Philly! A very rare opportunity given the time of day (7pm) we went up! Because the Zoo was open for a members only after-hours event, a lot of the animals were already asleep, however the many attractions remained open. I've of course been to the zoo many times before and either the wind and weather conditions didn't allow for visitors to go up on the balloon or the line was too long - but finally, today was my day!
It's interesting to take note of all the construction for new skyscrapers. I did some research and discovered that as of October 2017, there are 27 high-rise buildings under construction or undergoing extensive renovations in Philly right now! (In Philadelphia, high rise means at least 75 feet tall) It would certainly be interesting to document the progress of this ever-changing skyline.

XYZT: Abstract Landscapes
"Step into imaginary territory of lines, dots, and letters, and immerse yourself into this virtual playground of four dimensions: X (horizontal), Y (vertical), Z (depth), and T (time)"
Courtesy of Artechouse, "a new age destination for arts, music, film, theater and technology" in DC. The XYZT exhibition was everything that my dreams are made of. I visited twice during the summer - both experiences were equally as rewarding. Located in a cold underground showroom, visiting this exhibit felt like an escape, like going to a whole new world. XYZT was designed by French contemporary digital artists and multimedia choreographers, Adrien M & Claire B.
