A vintage television displays continuous static on the screen while seated in a bed of plants, surrounded by life and movement. A television of this particular style is not compatible with many technologies of today. For instance, it cannot be hooked up to most VCR players, DVD players, game consoles and most drastically, our smart devices. The static that is displayed on the screen is meant to express the fact that the television is out of commission and is incompatible with the plants, or the life that exists today. Metaphorically, plants represent the cycle of life and growth. A plant sprouts, peaks and dies the same way, perhaps a piece of technology does. Representative of dead technology - the TV itself is aged and dated at least 20 years old. Distinctions between the two can be drawn when compared to one another.
